Missed-call recovery for HVAC & plumbing

Stop Losing Jobs When You Miss Calls.

When you're busy on a job, your next customer may already be calling someone else. Our missed-call recovery system follows up with eligible callers automatically, helping your team turn more missed opportunities into booked jobs.

Example text

"Sorry we missed your call! This is [Your Company]. How can we help — is this urgent?"

The problem

An unanswered call can quietly become someone else's job.

Your techs are on roofs, in crawlspaces, and under sinks. The office is juggling dispatch. Calls get missed — it's normal.

But a homeowner with no heat or a leaking pipe often doesn't wait. If nobody answers, they may simply call the next company on the list. A quick, helpful text can give you a chance to keep that conversation going.

How our system works

Four steps from missed call to booked job.

  1. 01

We connect to your phone setup

We work with your compatible existing phone setup — often without changing your business number.

  2. 02

A missed call triggers a workflow

When a call goes unanswered, a recovery workflow starts automatically.

  3. 03

    The caller gets a text

An eligible caller receives a timely, friendly text and simple follow-up questions.

  4. 04

    Your team books the job

You're notified with the details, so your team can respond and book the work.

Phone compatibility, call routing, caller identification, and messaging eligibility are verified during onboarding before anything goes live.

Revenue opportunity calculator

What could your missed calls be worth?

Three quick questions — no spreadsheets. Recovered revenue = missed calls × qualified % × engagement % × booking % × your average job. Open "Adjust the assumptions" to fine-tune the percentages.

What kind of business do you run?

We suggested $1,200 for HVAC — change it to match your business.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I keep my existing business number?

In many cases, yes. Most setups use conditional forwarding or an integration so customers keep calling the number they already know. Whether this works for you depends on your phone provider, which we confirm during onboarding.

Does this work if my business line is a cell phone?

Often. Many mobile carriers support conditional call forwarding (forwarding when unanswered or busy). Support and setup steps vary by carrier and plan, so we verify it with you before going live.

What about my existing VoIP or office phone system?

Many VoIP systems support forwarding rules, and some can share missed-call alerts with our system through a direct connection. Not every system does, so compatibility is checked during the setup assessment.

What is conditional call forwarding?

It's a carrier feature that forwards a call only when you don't answer, are busy, or are unreachable. Forwarded calls go to a dedicated recovery number, which then triggers the follow-up text.

How does call routing fit in?

We manage the recovery system end to end. Depending on your setup, our system either receives forwarded unanswered calls, gets notified by your phone system, or routes calls to your team. We recommend the option that fits your phone service and requirements.

What number do the texts come from?

Texts are typically sent from a dedicated, registered business number set up for your company as part of our service. Your number options and any registration requirements (such as A2P 10DLC) are reviewed during onboarding. Approval is handled by carriers and registration partners and is not guaranteed.

Are there message or call usage costs?

Yes. Carrier, phone, SMS, registration, and other usage charges are usually billed separately from our service fee, based on actual usage. We'll explain expected costs before you commit.

How long does implementation take?

Simple setups can often go live within a couple of weeks once access and any required registrations are in place. Registration reviews and complex phone systems can extend the timeline.

What happens when someone replies?

The conversation continues with simple qualifying questions, and your team is notified so a person can take over, call back, and book the job. Customers who reply STOP are opted out.

What if I already use similar software?

Tell us what you use. Your current tools may already cover this, or we may be able to complement them. If it's not a fit, we'll say so.

Do I need additional software or integrations?

Usually no new software on your side — our missed-call recovery system is fully managed by us. Some phone systems need forwarding changes or a connection with your existing phone system. Complex integrations are scoped separately.

Is automated texting automatically compliant for every caller?

No. Texting rules depend on the type of message, consent, and applicable federal and state law. We design workflows for conversational responses to inbound inquiries and review messaging eligibility with you during onboarding. You should also consult your own legal counsel.
